SIMONE WILLIAMS SHARES INSIGHT AT THE NATIOAL BAR ASSOCIATION LABOR & EMPLOYMENT SECTION CONFERENCE
On October 18, 2024, Williams Global Law Founding Partner, Simone Williams participated as a panelist in the National Bar Association (NBA) 2024 Labor and Employment Section (LES) Annual Conference hosted at the Washington Marriott Georgetown. The panel, titled Immigration Law for the EEO Practitioner, addressed numerous areas of immigration law that impact workers and employers and can overlap with equal employment opportunity law (EEO). |
She was joined by fellow panelists, Sonica Dixon, Associate, Taylor Law Group LLC; Brenda J. Oliver, Principal, Jackson Lewis; and Leon Rodriguez, Partner, Seyfarth Shaw.
Specifically, Ms. Williams shared expert insight on the effects that reduced workforce size have on both employers and visa applicants. She also provided explanations on how certain U.S. visa options can help companies send professional employees to the U.S. for long or short-term assignments. Ms. Williams also informed employers about the common concerns regarding employment authorizations. |
As former co-chair of the National Bar Association International Business Section (NBA-ILS), Ms. Williams enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with the NBA-LES section.
